Version 1.0 · Effective September 1, 2026

This portal works because members trust it. These guidelines keep it a place where independent retailers can learn from each other openly. Agreeing to them is required to join.

1

Treat people with respect

Assume good intent. Disagree without being harsh. No personal attacks, harassment, or comments targeting someone’s race, religion, gender, age, or background.

2

Keep it professional

No profanity or explicit content. Politics, religion, and anything unrelated to running a retail business belong somewhere else.

3

Support each other — don’t sell

Answer questions and share resources freely. No pitching products or services, affiliate links, recruiting, or unsolicited offers by message.

4

Keep sensitive information out

Treat everything you post as public. Don’t post financials, vendor pricing or contract terms, anything under NDA, or personal information about employees, customers, or other members.

5

Don’t coordinate on pricing or vendor terms

Share what has worked for you, but never agree with other members on what to charge, what to pay vendors, which vendors to avoid, or which markets to serve.

6

Share your experience, not professional advice

Tell people what you did and what happened. Legal, tax, employment, and financial decisions go through your own advisors.

7

Post only what you have the right to share

Your own words, photos, and materials — not copyrighted articles, images, or someone else’s proprietary content.

Reports go to our moderation team. A first issue usually means a direct note; selling, soliciting, or posting sensitive information gets the post removed. Repeat or serious violations can pause portal access.
